PALS
Are you a healthcare provider who’s new to Heart & Stroke’s Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course—or do you find yourself needing a refresher because you don’t use your PALS skills often?
If so, our PALS Provider Course is designed for you.
This course will strengthen both your individual skills and your ability to function as part of a high-performance healthcare team in simulated pediatric emergencies that mirror real-life clinical situations. You’ll learn to recognize and respond to cardiopulmonary arrest and other life-threatening cardiovascular events in children.
Through realistic simulations, you will:
Practice high-quality CPR
Apply the evaluate–identify–intervene sequence in pediatric assessment
Strengthen team dynamics and communication
Gain hands-on experience in airway management and advanced interventions
With guided practice, coaching, and feedback, you’ll refine your skills before moving on to final testing.
Flexible learning options
We offer this course in two formats:
Instructor-led classroom learning for those who prefer traditional, structured teaching.
Blended learning, where you complete part of the curriculum online at your own pace, followed by an instructor-led classroom session when you’re ready.
Choose the option that fits your schedule and learning style best.
What you should know before enrolling
To get the most out of this course, you should already have a solid foundation in:
High-quality BLS
Recognition of common pediatric cardiac ECG rhythms
Effective airway management and adjunct use
Pediatric cardiopulmonary pharmacology
Practical management of complex cases
Team-based clinical skills
